Fernwood Farm offers two modern, cozy suites for rent in Door County, Wisconsin. Each suite includes a kitchen with dining table, bedroom, bathroom, living room, and amenities like a microwave, refrigerator, and TV/VCR. The open floorplan works best for 2 adults per suite. A couch in the living room can sleep 2 more adults or children.
A patio door in each suite faces the meadow, our neighbor's meadow, our neighbor's neighbor's meadow, and barns in the distance. You'll also have a partial view of the woods that border our meadow.
Speaking of the woods... they're full of birch, maple, pine, and much more. The woods are home to deer, raccoons, beautiful birds, and peaceful quiet. They're great to hike through. We're fortunate to have about 30 acres of woods, and they are surrounded by many more acres of untouched forest.
Feel like a campfire? If the weather cooperates, you can watch the trees sway in the moonlight while you roast marshmallows. And you won't believe the stars at night. I doubt you've ever seen so many stars in your life. Watch for shooting stars and satellites, and see the Milky Way in all its brilliance.
The suites were remodeled in 1998. Together with our children and grandchildren, we rebuilt the suites by hand.
