Your Hosts, Bill & Linda Kelly

We have been together since childhood. We met while growing up on the south side of Chicago in a neighborhood called Fernwood. We married in 1963, raised 7 children, are blessed with 14 grandchildren, and have experienced the miracles on both sides of Death's Door.

We vacationed in Door County for 25 years. Every visit to this magical place provided us with the strength and renewal of spirit to face each day of the year. In 1997 we were gifted with the opportunity of a lifetime -- we found and purchased the 37 acres that we named Fernwood Farm. It was our new beginning.

Together with our children and grandchildren, we rebuilt and refurbished the suites by hand the next year. The Apple Suite & the Cherry Suite feature modern conveniences, yet, provide you with the feeling of days gone by in the remote heartland of Door County. We look forward to sharing Fernwood Farm and the Door County experience with you on your next visit.
